Allison Lourash lives in the north woods of Wisconsin, where she supports access to the community for people with disabilities. A current doctoral student at Walden University, her dissertation focus involves ABCD in relation to inclusion of people with disabilities in community organizing. She devotes much of her free time to the concerns she is passionate about. She has served in several leadership roles for LPA, the national organization providing support to individuals with short stature related disabilities. This includes serving on the Board of Directors, organizing workshops at the national conference for six years, and most recently chairing the Employment Committee. She received the national Distinguished Service Award in 2016 for her work revitalizing the committee. She is trained in Work Incentives Benefits Planning, PATH person centered planning, as well as Community Organizing through Metro-IAF.
