Wellness Workshops

Our workshops are designed to assist you to learn about and engage multiple dimensions of wellness: including physical, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, occupational, social, and emotional.

Wellness Workshops

During the Fall, Winter, and Spring academic quarters, we offer Wellness Workshops that are FREE for DePaul students, staff, faculty (members and non-members)and community members. Workshops include topics related to all seven dimensions of wellness, including nutrition, workout ideas and goal-setting, running efficiency clinics, mindfulness, and more. In addition, check out our DIY Workshops and our training programs in Self-Defense and CPR/AEDParticipants are encouraged to register in advance due to limited space. Register at The Ray Membership Services desk, online or through The Ray at DePaul app. 

Finding Your Nutrition Balance

Thursday, March 1; 4:30 pm;  Ray Rm. 135
​Are you really what you eat? And if that's the case, how can you make your food choices work for you? Join us to find out what you need to do to put a plan into place for your health and your enjoyment.  Also, you'll get a chance to win a Bean smoothie for some post-workshop re-fueling!​

Aromatheraphy - DIY Spray Bottle Mix

​Monday March 12; 4 - 5 pm or while supplies last; Ray Atrium  FREE!! to DePaul Students, Faculty, and Staff
Put together an essential oil spray to use in your room or apartment. Choose your own combination of oils to soothe, energize, relieve stress, or provide you with a scent to brighten your day. Materials provided while supplies last! Pre-registration suggested but not required as long as supplies are still available.

Midweek Meditation

​Every Wednesday through March 7; 12:30 - 1:00 pm; Studio C.
Tune out the noise and tune into your world. Rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul with this relaxing midweek break from the action. A facilitator from the Office of Religious Diversity will lead you in a​ guided relaxation and meditation exercise. Join us! You'll be glad you did! This program is only held during the academic quarter while academic classes are in session. See the Group Fitness schedule for days and times.​

Mindfulness: Self-Care and Stress Relief

Coming Spring Quarter - Date and TIme will be announced soon!
You will be guided through a mindfulness exercise by trained facilitators as well as discuss how you might apply mindfulness practice to enhancing your life and reducing stress. Join us for a fun and rejuvenating activity!

Spring Nature Walk and Yoga Class

Coming Spring Quarter - Date and Time will be announced soon!
Tired of being cooped up inside? Time to opt outside and enjoy the restorative benefits of a nature walk followed by a special yoga class.
Meet at The Ray for a leisurely walk to the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool (Lincoln Park's Hidden Garden); return to The Ray for yoga!  You are welcome to participate in both activities or just choose one.
