Any adult who does not have an affiliation with the University through other categories is eligible for the community rate but are required to pay a non-refundable initiation fee at the time of joining. Community memberships are valid during all facility hours. Membership rates are subject to change.

The initiation fee for all full access community members and their Spouse/SDA, Dependent is due at the time of joining or when converting from a Blue membership. Initiation fees are in place to allow non-University personnel access to the facility and are non-refundable.
Blue Memberships
Blue Memberships are available to those who are interested in paying a reduced rate to access The Ray during a restricted number of hours.
Blue Membership access hours; slight adjustment in evening hours to accommodate facility closing times during summer and academic breaks.

To receive the member rate for specialty programs and fitness services, any program or appointment for which the blue member registers must take place during Blue membership access hours. The non-member rate will be charged for all program registrations and fitness services outside of Blue access hours.

Community and Blue Membership Policies
Non-Members who are looking for a shorter term option to use The Ray rather than purchasing an ongoing membership may want to choose one of the following options. These "passes" are available to adults 18 and older. They are non-transferable and nonrefundable for unused visits. They include use of the facility and access to equipment and free Group Fitness classes, however, they are not considered to be a "membership" and do not receive discounts for programs and services like ongoing memberships do. Community One-Month Pass: Valid for one month from date of purchase. Fee: $127
5 and 10 Visit Passes: Valid for five or ten entries to The Ray within six months from date of purchase. Passes are non-transferable and nonrefundable for unused visits. They are open to adults 18 and older; minros are not included. These passes do not qualify the patron for member rates when registering for programs or services.
5 Visit Pass: $80 / 10 Visit Pass: $150
- Purchased on the 1st of the month requires full payment for the current month.
- Purchased on the 2nd-15th of the month requires payment of the prorated fee for the current month.
- Purchased on the 16th-end of the month requires payment of the prorated fee for the current month and first full month’s dues.
- Minimum six month membership is required; if cancel prior to six months a $25 cancellation fee will be charged.
- Cancellation of membership impacts the next monthly billing date at least 15 days in the future. It does not impact the initiation fee that is non-refundable.
- Membership fees are drafted on the 2nd of each month. Occasionally the draft may be slightly delayed due to bank holidays, technical delays, or other issues.
- If paying by credit or debit card: within seven days of joining, member must enter credit card information online or through The Ray at DePaul app.
- It is the responsibility of the member to maintain sufficient funds to cover all drafts and to inform Campus Recreation of any changes in account information. If drafts are refused for any reason, your membership will be suspended immediately.
- Should payment not be resolved by the 20th of the month, a $25 service fee will be assessed and must be paid in addition to any unresolved payments before the service will resume.
- Campus Recreation may discontinue Community memberships with a 30-day notice.
Spouses or unrelated SDAs of community/blue member may purchase a membership at a discounted rate. To establish eligibility an affidavit of eligibility must be completed and verifying documentation presented (marriage license, civil union certificate must be shown, or two recent documents showing a current shared address).
Children and/or dependents (age 16-22) of members may purchase a membership at the dependent rate.
Children and/or dependents age 15 and under may register to access the facility with parents who are members. A birth certificate is required for verification. Each child will have their picture taken and will be issued a purple key tag in order to access the facility. Access is limited to specified children's hours.
Annual memberships, including the initiation fee (if applicable), must be paid for in full at time of joining.
