Community, Blue, and Alumni Memberships:
Monthly Memberships: We will begin regular billing on March 2. If you return to The Ray prior to that, stop by the Membership Services desk to pay for your facility use for the remainder of January and February.
Quarterly and Yearly Memberships: Your expiration date will be moved forward the number of days we were closed (November 16 – January 26).
Voluntary and Visiting Student Memberships:
Virtual Programs and Services: We want to continue to be a part of your fitness routine, especially through our free group fitness and meditation classes. Check our website and follow us on Instagram (@depaulcampusrec) or Facebook (depaulcampusrec) for more virtual fun and fitness.
CampusClear App: To access The Ray, patrons should download the "#CampusClear" App and show the "Good to Go" screen to the Entrance Attendant. Students, faculty, and staff are required by DePaul University to sign in on #CampusClear before going on campus. Please do not use The Ray if you have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19.
COVID-19 Screening Questions: Patrons who do not have a phone or cannot show #CampusClear approval will need to respond to several screening questions to gain entrance to The Ray. Please do not use The Ray if you have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19.
Face Covering Policy:
COVID-19 Waiver: Members will need to sign the COVID Assumption of Risk form and take a new picture at the Membership desk at your first visit. For those members with children ages 16 and 17, you MUST either accompany your minor on their first visit to sign this form OR sign the attachment and email it to us/send it with them on their first visit. They will not be allowed to enter without it.
Limited Facility Access: Beginning Monday, January 18, facility access is limited to those ages 16 and above who are current DePaul student, faculty or staff members. We are hopeful to welcome non-University members back soon.
Workout Areas: To comply with state and city health guidelines, we have had to restrict the number of people working out at one time in strength and cardio areas. During heavy use times in the 2nd floor strength area, your name and cell number may have to go on a waiting list and you may use other areas of the facility until we notify you. Thanks for your patience.
Locker Rooms: Daily locker checkout and drop-in locker room use have resumed during State of Illinois Tier 1 Mitigation. The locker rooms will operate under capacity limits; 22 people at a time per locker room. Please come to The Ray in your workout attire if at all possible. Restrooms within the locker rooms are open for use.
Reservations: Pool access, court use, and selected personal fitness spaces require reservations. See instructions in the "reservations" section below.
We expect that patrons will adhere to the following in assisting us to ensure everyone's safety:

Pool lanes must be reserved for use online or through the Ray App prior to entering the pool. Lane reservations are available on the hour for a 45-minute time block to allow for cleaning between use. Due to restrictions in capacity and operations, including paused services, no access for children under the age of 16, and reservation requirements for some areas, membership activation and billing for paid memberships may be deferred to later dates. Details for each membership type are listed below.
Community and Alumni Memberships (including adult dependents): We are hopeful the facility will reopen soon. While we are closed, you are not being billed. When we do reopen, you will have the opportunity to continue to keep your membership "paused" and you may reactivate at any time. For those chose to delay reactivation, your March credits will only apply if reactivation occurs by June 1, 2021. When we reopen, we will be selling new community and alumni memberships on a limited basis. If you are interested, contact us at CampusRecreation@depaul.edu and we will put you on a waiting list to be contacted when we are allowing a new round of members in to The Ray.
Faculty/Staff Memberships: Payroll deduction and automatic use of the facility will resume on February 26. If you had resumed your payroll deductions in September, but do not wish to come back in February, contact CampusRecreation@depaul.edu with that information. If your membership and payroll deduction was "paused" in fall 2020, it will remain so in February 2021.
Student Memberships: Full-time undergraduate students are automatic members of The Ray through fees paid in their tuition; part-time, graduate, and Law students have the choice to purchase a Ray membership at the same rate. Go to our student membership page for more information.
