Women's Rugby

Description:
DePaul Women's Rugby was founded in 2001 and has been a growing club sport ever since. We are a competitive team that like to get rough and tough. We are a members of the GWWRC (Great Waters Women's Rugby Conference) and play in the South Division. During our regular fall season, we play against women's teams from Loyola, Northwestern, UIC, U of C, UW Whitewater, and Marquette. We also play tournaments in the spring, which allow us to meet other teams from across the region and improve our skills against women's club teams.

We are always accepting new members and there is no previous knowledge necessary! We will teach you all you need to know about rugby and hope that you enjoy and love the sport as much as we do! All you need to play is a pair of cleats, a mouthguard, and a willingness to learn.

Purpose/Mission:
The purpose of the DePaul Women’s Rugby Football Club is to promote the sport of rugby through the DePaul community and surrounding area; to encourage fitness oriented, healthy lifestyles for its members and to provide networking opportunities for those interested in the sport of rugby.
