Spring Into Health Wellness Walk

​​​​​​​​​The Spring Into Health Wellness Walk will be returning this year! We will have an in-person and virtual option for you to choose from. Pre-register here​.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will just be hosting the walk portion. The expo will not occur this year.

*You MUST pre-register if you plan to participate virtually.


For those of you interested in joining us in person, the Wellness Walk is a walk around campus at your own pace on Thursday, May 13 from 11 am to 2 pm. The route will feature Checkpoints with videos exploring the various Dimensions of Wellness (including Physical, Spiritual, Financial, Environmental, Emotional, Intellectual, and Social). Once you watch the video you can submit a form to be entered into our raffle. The total course is 1 mile but you can drop in anywhere on campus that you would like. Pre-register by Friday, May 7 in order to receive the Wellness Walk Route ahead of time!

If you would rather participate virtually, then you must pre-register by Friday, May 7. Once registered, you will receive a daily email from May 10-May 13 with the Checkpoint Forms where you can watch videos exploring the various Dimensions of Wellness (including, Physical, Spiritual, Financial, Environmental, Intellectual, and Social). Once you watch the video and submit your daily steps (any amount counts!) you will be entered into the raffle. It's all up to you and your schedule!

*If you participate in-person you must wear your mask during the entire walk and limit groups to 2 people max. Thank you!

In-Person: Thursday, May 13, 2021. Anytime between 11 am and 2 pm.

Virtual: Monday, May 10 - Thursday, May 13, 2021. Complete the forms by Thursday, May 13 in order to be entered into the raffle!

In-person: When you walk the course you will find 7 Checkpoints along the route where you will scan a QR code in order to watch a short video about an aspect of the Wellness Wheel and submit a form to be entered. The more forms you submit, the more chances you have of winning!

Virtual: You will receive a daily email with the Checkpoint Forms where you will watch a short video, input your steps for the day (any amount counts!), and submit the form to be entered. The more forms you submit, the more chances you have of winning!

This is your chance to enhance your lifestyle through:

  • Getting your move on!  A walk is a quick and easy way to wake our bodies up and get some of the recommended daily amount of physical activity we need. 
  • Stimulating your brain! Research shows that physical activity actually stimulates brain activity and improves creativity.
  • Making connections! Bring some friends or co-workers with you or meet someone new. This is a chance to connect with other DePaul students, faculty, and staff.
  • Learning about resources! Campus and community wellness organizations will be providing information important to your well-being through short videos.
  • Winning prizes! Who doesn't like free stuff? You can enter the raffle by participating in the walk (in-person or virtually) and submitting up to 7 Checkpoint Forms. It's easy and fun and informative!

​​Join us!! Being physically active can be fun, it doesn't have to take a lot of time, and it improves the blood flow to your brain. This stimulates thought processes, your creativity, and your productivity when you do have to go back to work or study!
