Looking for a different way to train, develop or challenge your organization? Team Challenge is an experience-based program made up of low and portable elements designed to help organizations build trust, develop greater communication, and establish higher levels of understanding and appreciation for all team members.
What You Can Expect
Individual programs are tailored with each group's abilities and goals in mind. No two programs are ever the same! With the guidance of skilled facilitators, groups participate in a series of physically and intellectually challenging activities that help identify various group dynamics. Immediately following each challenge, facilitators lead the group through a processing phase that allows everyone to reflect on and evaluate what they experienced. The entire experience creates a common bond that establishes a foundation of trust and commitment among the team members.

- To achieve these goals, trained facilitators deliver a customized experiential program that addresses particular individual and organizational objectives.
Who Can Benefit
People of nearly all ages and abilities can benefit. Students, faculty/staff, community and corporate groups are welcome. Our "challenge by choice" philosophy allows participants to feel comfortable with their contributions and involvement. If a group member feels uncomfortable for any reason during an activity, he/she can still participate through planning, coaching, and sharing observations.
The D-Men Challenge (DePaul Males Encouraging Non-Violence) is a two-year grant funded by the DePaul Vincentian Endowment. This project includes the collaboration of three departments at DePaul University; Campus Recreation, the Office of Community Outreach, and the Office of Multicultural Student Success, as well as the Male Initiative Project through the Chicago Public High School system.
The D-Men Challenge engages Chicago Public School male students in a positive experience geared towards learning about potential future opportunities. The challenge consisted of three elements; a team challenge, introduction to DePaul University, and engaging in courageous conversations with Men of Color mentors. By combining these elements, the participants gain a better self-awareness and learn how to handle challenging interactions while being introduced to a potential future at DePaul University.
