COVID-19 Updates (As of March 23, 2020)

​​​We are sharing an update regarding DePaul University's Response to COVID-19. The University is committed to the safety and health of our community and visitors to campus and has created a robust FAQ website with detailed information on the impact of COVID-19 on our community.

The Career Center is operating on a remote schedule through at least April 7, 2020. During this time, all of our online career resources are still available for use, including job search and application processes through Handshake.

To ensure the highest level of service is still available to our students, alumni and employers, the Career Center team has answered some of the most frequently asked questions about our ongoing remote operations.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process as the health and safety of all members of our community are of the utmost importance.

Starting Monday, March 16 through at least Tuesday, April 7, all Career Center appointments will be conducted virtually. Appointments may take place via phone, Zoom, or Google Meetup. Appointment scheduling is available through Handshake.

If you choose a Zoom appointment, the advisor will email you a Zoom link at the time of your appointment (you will not need to log in to any platform). If you choose a phone appointment or a Google Meetup, please be sure to provide your phone number or Gmail address when scheduling your appointment.

Beginning Saturday, March 14, until at least Thursday, April 30, all on-campus interviews are being converted to virtual interviews, or are being rescheduled depending on employer preference.

Employers: We value your commitment to recruiting DePaul students. If you would like to explore rescheduling your campus visit or considering a virtual approach, please contact Emily Komendera at ekomende@depaul.edu.

We are currently working on canceling or rescheduling all of our on-campus recruitment events and career programs, including workshops, networking events, information tables, panels and information sessions, beginning Saturday, March 14, until at least Thursday, April 30

Some events may be able to be held virtually, and we are making every effort to accommodate that to ensure as little disruption as possible. To remain informed about the status of events and programs, students and alumni should check Handshake and RSVP to events of interest. Messaging will be shared with registered students and alumni including all details about how to attend virtually, if applicable.

Note: We are currently exploring options to move the Spring Career Fair, previously scheduled for April 22, online as a virtual fair. The Next Steps Career Fair is still tentatively scheduled for May 29, but the venue and format are TBD. More details will be provided as soon as they're available.
