Get ready to move your Future Forward!

Whether you have a career goal in mind or are completely open to the possibilities, Future Forward is all about helping you own your journey to success! Over the course of the school year, you will define what you are looking for in a rewarding career, discover new ways to learn about potential paths, and take advantage of the best that the Career Center has to offer, all while connecting with fellow first-year students.   

As a Future Forward student you can expect to:

  • Have access to an exclusive set of asynchronous career exploration modules. 
  • Receive regular communications from the Career Center to ensure you are hitting all program milestones and are aware of opportunities and resources.
  • Connect and build relationships with fellow Future Forward participants.
  • Participate in insightful career experiences developed specifically for Future Forward students. 
  • Be awarded a $3,000 tuition grant ($1,000/quarter) during your second year at DePaul if you successfully complete all program requirements by the end of your first year.

Program requirements

As a Future Forward student you will complete interactive online modules and career-related activities that help you draft a plan for your future and get a head start on your journey to success. To remain eligible for the program and receive your $3,000 tuition grant towards your second-year tuition you must stay enrolled as a full-time student, provide feedback on the program throughout the year, and complete the following activities:

Participate in the Program Launch:
Participate in this live event that provides you with all the information you’ll need to get started. Event details will be shared over the summer.

Complete Online Modules:
Engage with program topics via interactive modules that guide you in exploring potential paths and building important career development skills.

Earn Points on FutureFeed:
Connect with peers, discuss what you’re learning and share your experiences while earning a required number of points in this gamified discussion platform.

Create a Resume:
Based on information learned in the program, create a resume that you can use to apply to future job and internship opportunities.

Attend a Career Event:
Participate in a career event to learn about the world of work or hone your career development skills. Available options will be emailed to you regularly.

Participate in a Career Experience:
Select an experience that fits your interests. Examples include informational interviews, virtual or live job shadows, or a volunteer experience.

You are not alone in this journey! Future Forward students are supported by a combination of full time Career Center staff and student mentors. You will hear from us regularly via email and our D2L page.

Confirm your enrollment and submit your tuition deposit to DePaul by May 1st to take advantage of this exclusive opportunity. Space in this program is limited, so after May 1st we will only accept students on a space-available basis.
