Glenna Ousley serves as the director for Community Outreach within the Center for Access and Attainment. In her role, she helps create programs and establishes partnerships with schools and community groups to support DePaul's diversity and community engagement initiatives. Glenna has spent three decades in higher education establishing programs to recruit and retain low-income, first-generation and underrepresented students of color. She has also helped to facilitate collaborations around school-based mentoring for males in response to the challenges facing young males of color, including their near-absence on many college campuses.
Prior to coming to DePaul, Glenna was director of the Office of Minority Affairs in the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to that, she was assistant director of Admissions at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Glenna holds an undergraduate and graduate degree in communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a Chicago Public Schools alumna and member of the steering committee for the Illinois Committee on Black Concerns in Higher Education.
