The D-MEN Challenge (DePaul Males Encouraging Nonviolence) is a campus visit program for young males developed to create positive self-identities, build self-confidence and help resolve conflicts amicably. Through a team challenge experience, the goal of the program is to help groups create a common bond, build trust and commitment and establish higher levels of appreciation for their members. Students also receive information about planning for college, tour DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus and have meaningful discussions with male DePaul students of color.
D-MEN Challenge is FREE to participating middle schools. The program is made possible through the collaboration of DePaul's Campus Recreation and College Access offices, and the Chicago Public Schools. Lunch and bus transportation are provided at no cost to participating schools.
The next Middle School D-MEN Challenge will be held in Winter Quarter 2020. For more information about these events, please contact Jason Carter at
