DePaul Challenge

Middle school students enjoy their visit to DePaul

Our College Access DePaul Challenge is a virtual program for 7th and 8th grade students that includes a team challenge, college exposure, and college student connection. The program is made possible in collaboration with our Ray Meyer Fitness Center, Northeastern Illinois University, and our College Access office.

The program is facilitated on Fridays for at least 45 minutes in which our team works with middle school students on topics and activities regarding college access. These topics and activities include “Challenge by choice” team building group challenges, high school college success pathways, college selection, postsecondary manifestation, and peer-to-peer interaction. Through our challenge experience, the program helps groups create a common bond, build trust and commitment while establishing higher levels of academic and scholastic expectations..
