Fall Quarter 2022

Last Updated: July 12, 2022

DePaul University is planning for residence halls and apartments on the Lincoln Park and Loop campuses to open at regular occupancy for Fall Quarter.

We will accommodate both incoming freshmen and continuing students seeking an on-campus residential experience. While we may hold some rooms in reserve, to accommodate possible need for isolation, we do not expect this to have a significant impact on our overall occupancy.

We are returning to our normal rate structure for both housing and meal plans. Please visit our Housing Rates webpage and Meal Plan Types & Rates webpage for more information.

Returning to normal occupancy means most of our traditional, suite, and apartment-style units have students living together. The number of roommates varies based on the size and unit type. DePaul offers a roommate matching section in the Housing portal for new students looking for roommates.

Housing agreements will remain open throughout the year. Housing assignments will be made based on availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students who would like to cancel their housing for Fall Quarter must follow instructions on our Cancellation webpage, which includes deadlines to cancel without penalty.

Please check the Move-In webpage for details under the Fall Move-In section; there you will find the Lincoln Park Move-In Guide and University Center Move-In Guide.

DePaul Housing has a suggested packing list so you know what to pack and a prohibited items list so you know what not to bring. You may also consider renting a MicroFridge (microwave and refrigerator combo unit) through Campus Fridges*. All this information may be found on the Move-In webpage, which we highly recommend students review before their move-in date.

*Residents in Corcoran Hall will automatically have a MicroFridge in their unit. University Center (Loop) uses a different service, which may be found in their UC resident portal.
