Professional Communication (MA)

Woman in conference room

Designed for rising working professionals, the College of Communication's accelerated one-year program incorporates the social underpinnings of communication with courses such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace and Professional Communication Law, Policy and Ethics. Participate in an online program with a mix of self-paced and real-time learning classes. You will take classes with a cohort, learning alongside and networking with fellow communication students from various professional backgrounds. Finish your degree by tackling a real-world workplace communication challenge that benefits an organization's stakeholders and builds your professional portfolio.

This online program includes a combination of synchronous (live) instruction and discussion and asynchronous (on demand) coursework. The live classes will meet two evenings per week. You will complete the 12 required courses in the 46-credit-hour program in one year (four quarters).
