Jingle bells, snow, reindeer, and more! Christmas is almost here! Wait, let's not forget Thanksgiving.
If you're like me or most of the people I know, then you are probably used to everyone jumping from Halloween straight to Christmas. I remember when I was younger, I would always tell my mom that it wasn't fair and that people were “bullying” Thanksgiving. To this day I stick to my pro-Thanksgiving mindset because it is not fair to skip the one holiday that is all about eating.
Maybe there's more to it, but all in all I know I look forward to having a giant turkey on my table surrounded by a variety of side dishes. This is including, but in no way limited to, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mac and cheese. Aside from the main feasting day, there's always so much food left over that it practically lasts all the way to Christmas. The way I look at Thanksgiving is this: most other mammals hunt for food and store it for the long winter (ex. squirrels and their acorns) so I think Thanksgiving is the human way of storing food, at least long enough till Christmas arrives.
To conclude this Thanksgiving spiel I introduce an addition to my weekly blog. I call it “Thanksgiving Tick Tock Count Down”, in which every week I will give the exact time left until Thanksgiving!
Thank you for reading my blog and as always stay awesome,
Thanksgiving Tick Tock Countdown: T-minus 21 days, 7 hours, 52 minutes, and 39 seconds.
