Service & Outreach

The Service & Outreach team keeps our Vincentian and Catholic heritage alive by actively seeking out service partnerships and service opportunities within and outside of the DePaul community. Members on this team contribute ideas, expertise, and personal and professional connections to develop engaging quarterly service-oriented events and activities that foster informal connections among DePaul women faculty and staff.

Roles

  • Service project design
  • DWN Ambassador
  • Event design and production

Core Responsibilities

  • Contributes ideas, expertise, personal and professional connections to develop engaging quarterly networking and service-oriented events and activities; achieves a balance between topics and formats targeting both women in general and specific populations or special areas of concern
  • Develops annual schedule of service events
  • Serves as ambassador and representative of DWN
  • Creates opportunities for the DePaul community to honor St. Louise de Marillac
  • Seeks out and evaluates service partnerships and service opportunities with internal and external partners
  • Provides content for DWN communication channels (e.g., website, social media)

Additional Required Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability and desire to interface with a diverse group of individuals with tact and diplomacy
  • Proven ability to design and produce small to medium scale informal events

In addition to the required skills listed above, the Service & Outreach Director has:

  • 3- to 5-years’ experience managing staff and/or medium- to large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated experience developing staff and proven ability to guide less-experienced team members

Time Commitment: Director (6-8 hrs/mo), Team Member (4-6 hrs/mo)​
