VP of Mission and Ministry search process launched

Since the Rev. Edward R. Udovic, C.M., Ph.D., announced he will retire at the end of the 2018-19 academic year, DePaul has been preparing for the search process for a new vice president of Mission and Ministry. A search committee has been carefully selected to represent the campus community, and will provide A. Gabriel Esteban, Ph.D., president of DePaul, with viable candidates to fill the role by July 1.​

Forum to address views on the Middle East and freedom of expression at DePaul

​To encourage a dialogue incorporating distinct perspectives, DePaul Acting Provost Salma Ghanem is convening a university-wide event, featuring five professors from different disciplines, exploring "Views on the Middle East and Freedom of Expression at DePaul." Scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, the discussion will present diverse viewpoints on these topics based upon each professor’s area of expertise and give attendees an opportunity to share their own thoughts​.

DePaul launches new applied diplomacy B.A. and M.A. programs

​During the winter quarter, DePaul’s Faculty Council approved a new B.A. and M.A. in applied diplomacy program housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The program will launch this fall, at the start of the 2019-20 academic year.

DePaul to transfer PeopleSoft applications to Oracle Cloud

​Over the next few months, DePaul will transition its human resources and finance PeopleSoft applications to a cloud-based system called Oracle Cloud. Currently, PeopleSoft is the system for financial and human resources transactions for the university. ​

​On April 30, students, faculty and staff gathered in the Lincoln Park Student Center for the 2019 Diversity Forum, presented by the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity. This year's event featured Ericka Huggins, a former Blank Panther Party member, political prisoner and human rights advocate.​

Information Services to replace end point security for DePaul computers

Information Services | April 30, 2019

​As part of Information Services' efforts to improve security of the university’s computing assets and data, IS will begin rolling out an improved antivirus solution to all DePaul owned computers. The new solution is designed to provide considerably improved protection to campus computers, along with improved performance over the current antivirus solution, McAfee. IS will begin the roll out across campus this week, and continue the updates over a two month period.
