Update at 3:10 p.m.: Situation has stabilized near Lincoln Park Quad. All exits are open adjacent to Quad. A university update will be shared as soon as possible.
Update at 1:55 p.m.: Protests continue near the Lincoln Park Quad. Please continue to avoid the area. Anyone who experiences threats or acts of violence should report them immediately to Public Safety at 773-325-7777 (Lincoln Park) or 312-362-8400 (Loop). More resources for students are available on the Towards Dialogue and Understanding website.
Update at 12:32 p.m.: Avoid Lincoln Park Quad. Use alternative exits if leaving Richardson Library, SAC, McGowan North/South and University Hall.
Update at 12:05 p.m.: Protests are continuing on the Lincoln Park Quad. Those on campus may leave their buildings but should avoid the Quad and Fullerton. We will share updates as new information becomes available.
Update at 11:05 a.m.: Today’s protest escalated requiring intervention beyond DePaul’s Office of Public Safety. The Chicago Police Department is on the scene to ensure the safety and wellbeing of DePaul’s students, faculty, staff and community. We have alerted the campus community to avoid the area.
