DePaul University closes Lincoln Park and Loop campuses due to extreme weather forecast

CHICAGO — Due to continuing poor weather and dangerous road conditions Monday, DePaul University is closing its Loop and Lincoln Park campuses beginning at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15. Campuses will remain closed all day Tuesday, Feb. 16

All in-person classes are canceled. Online classes already scheduled should continue as planned, and any face-to-face activities that can transition to online for the day should. Employees, except those in essential roles, do not need to report to work on-campus. Employees who can work from home should continue to do so. For updates, go to www.depaul.edu.

All buildings on the Lincoln Park Campus, with some exceptions, will be closed on Monday. Residence halls are open, and additional information will be communicated directly to residents. On Monday, the Student Center will serve food until 6 p.m. On Tuesday, dining service will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center will close at 5 p.m. Monday and will be open Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. The Richardson Library will close at 3 p.m. Monday, and Student Center on the Lincoln Park Campus will close Monday at 5 p.m. and remain closed Tuesday.

The DePaul Center on the Loop Campus, as well as the Daley Building, will be open due to the tenants we have in those buildings. All other Loop Campus buildings, and the DePaul offices and classrooms in the DePaul Center and the Daley Building, will be closed.
