SharePoint Information Site > Web Parts > Slideshow

Slideshows are a way to display large splash images, often accompanied by text and a call-to-action (link, button, etc.). There are several ways to use the slideshow: as a static image (sometimes referred to as a hero image), as a rotation of several images or a rotation of several images with text that can link to interior pages of a website.

This web part displays best in the Main Content area on home pages and on landing pages in the two-column layout. For a gallery of images (with or without captions) for a standard, three-column page, use the Gallery Web Part.

IMPORTANT: Editors must follow image best practices when using the Slideshow Web Part.

There are two ways to configure the Slideshow Web Part: Default Slideshow and Slideshow Content Right.
