Katie began working for DePaul as a student employee in 2009. In 2011 she was hired as a full-time staff member for the DePaul University Center for Writing-based Learning where she still works as the Associate Director Operations Management. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse. Katie holds three degrees from DePaul: a BA in Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse, an MA in Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse with a concentration in Teaching Writing and a certificate in TESOL, and an MS in Human Resources Management.
