​Kate earned her BA in movement and sports science from Purdue University, an MBA from DePaul University and a Ph.D. in higher education from Loyola University Chicago. She is the third generation and one of four in her family to earn a degree from DePaul. Her grandfather graduated from the College of Commerce in 1937, her mom from the College of Education in 1968 and her brother earned his MBA from DePaul in 2002. Kate lives on the northside and enjoys musicals, live music and is a fan of both the Blue Demons and the Chicago Cubs.
