Lourdes Mercedes Sullivan is the Assistant Director of School Partnerships for the Egan Office of Urban Education and Community Partnerships. She has worked for decades as an educator, community activist and consultant to schools. Her goals have been to promote community building, youth leadership, education equity and social justice primarily in low income communities of color. Lourdes connects schools, community partners, students and faculty to create meaningful and reciprocal learning and community development experiences for all stakeholders. She is an alumna of Yale University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction in the Major and also an ENLACE Fellow at Northeastern Illinois University, where she earned a MA in higher education leadership.
