Winter Quarter housing update

Dear students,

Thank you for your continued interest in on-campus housing at DePaul. While DePaul Housing and Residential Education are delighted by the overwhelming response, we still need to follow COVID-19 direction and protocol from the university, and recommendations from the state of Illinois and the CDC. Therefore, we are planning for a modest increase in our on-campus footprint for Winter Quarter, as indicated in the university communication sent on October 5.​

All students with a completed, active housing agreement are eligible to request Winter Quarter housing. However, students must fit at least one of the criteria below to be considered for on-campus housing during Winter Quarter. If you are a student who was not approved to live on campus Fall Quarter and would like to submit a request for Winter Quarter housing, please indicate this in the Winter Quarter Housing online form and explain how your living conditions or college coursework may have changed since you made your last request in August. All requests will be due by Monday, November 2.

The criteria are as follows and will be verified where possible:

• Students who have a home environment that is not conducive to the support of academic success including lack of technology needs, quiet study environment or safety (to name a few).
• Students who have classes/labs that will meet in-person.
  
• NOTE: Please wait until your Winter Quarter schedule is finalized before submitting a request, if in-person coursework is your reason for living on campus. You must list the in-person courses you will be taking. If your Winter Quarter class schedule is not finalized by the November 2 due date, you must email us to request an extension.
• International students who are in need of being in the U.S. for educational requirements.
