Welcome to the DePaul-ACU Conference on Community Engagement, Service Learning, and Solidarity

DePaul University is proud to host this third iteration of the Conference on Community Engagement and Service Learning in partnership with Australian Catholic University (ACU). 

Since 2019, our two institutions have worked together to share information, lessons learned, successful practices and innovative ideas to deepen engagement with our respective communities. In doing so, we have furthered our collaboration with each other and deepened our practice of community engagement.

This year we are looking forward to another successful conference, and we are pleased to host our friends from ACU at DePaul and to welcome them to the Windy City.

Plenary Speakers

The Conference on Community Engagement and Service Learning will have three plenary panels offering expert knowledge on Evaluation, Tracking and Scholarship of Community Engagement, Community-Engaged Research, and Education for Advocacy, Activism and Solidarity.  Speakers to be announced soon!

This conference is primarily in person, with select events hybrid.

DePaul University's Lincoln Park Campus is conveniently located at the Fullerton CTA El stop. To get to the Fullerton CTA stop from both the airports and/or from Union Station Chicago:

From O'Hare International Airport (ORD): Take Blue Line to the Loop, then switch to the Red Line (toward Howard), the Brown Line (toward Kimball) or the Purple Line (toward Linden), and exit at the Fullerton train stop.

From Midway International Airport (MDW): Take Orange Line to the Loop, then switch to the Red Line (toward Howard), the Brown Line (toward Kimball) or the Purple Line (toward Linden), and exit at the Fullerton train stop..

From Union Station Chicago (CHI): Walk to the Quincy CTA stop (0.3 mile), and then take the Brown Line CTA Train (toward Kimball) or the Purple Line CTA Train (toward Linden), and exit at the Fullerton train stop.
