Dear Students,
We are pleased to announce that the student health insurance portal for DePaul students is now open on the Academic HealthPlans (AHP) website:
https://depaul.myahpcare.com.
Students must be registered for Fall 2024 classes to access the portal.
Another way students can access the health insurance portal is through Campus Connect. In Campus Connect, click on the “Student Resources” tile from the Student Homepage, and then select the “Student Health Insurance” option. Student Health Insurance Plan
Students who have registered for Fall 2024 classes are automatically added to the DePaul Student Health Insurance Plan. UnitedHealthcare will send students instructions to set up a UHC My Account where they can access full coverage details and search for a provider.
UnitedHealthcare is offering a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan, which covers physical and behavioral health services, preventative care, vaccinations and prescription drugs. The coverage period for all undergraduate and graduate students is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. The coverage period for law students is August 20, 2024 through August 19, 2025.
Opt out of the Student Health Insurance Plan by submitting a waiver
Students who already have active insurance coverage (e.g., under a family plan or individual plan provided by their employer) may follow instructions in the portal to opt out of the Student Health Insurance Plan by submitting a waiver.
The waiver process begins today, May 15, 2024, and ends September 20, 2024. Before beginning the waiver process, students must make sure they can provide proof of active insurance coverage.

Opt-Out section of the AHP website and follow instructions in the
Student Waiver User Guide.
After a student submits their proof of active coverage in the portal, the AHP team will evaluate the submission and send a response via email with their waiver status (e.g., approved, denied, unable to verify).
Stay Updated
During spring quarter, AHP hosted four health insurance information sessions for DePaul students. Students who were unable to participate in a session may watch the May 8 video recording.
