Office of the Controller

Office of the Treasurer

The Treasurer’s Office supports the University’s mission through the administration and management of the cash, investments, debt, and real estate assets of the institution to ensure and enhance its operational, financial, and reputational risk.  It also includes the risk & insurance and environmental health & safety functions as well as the University's procurement activities. 

Treasury Serviceoversees the institution's cash management, capital finance strategy, and debt portfolio to support the short- and long-term liquidity needs of the University. Treasury also maintains all banking and financial service provider relationships.

Investment management includes the administration of the endowment, institutional reserves and other investment holdings in accordance with the direction of the Board of Trustees and its Trustee Investment Committee.  The university’s endowment provides for both the current financial needs of the University via its recurring annual distributions as well as long-term financial stability and support for the institution through the endowment portfolio’s investment returns and endowed gifts from its donors.

The Real Estate office administers DePaul’s retail leasing activities with its retail and commercial tenants on both the University’s Lincoln Park and Loop campuses. The office also works in coordination with the other administrative and academic offices of the institution on its real estate needs and planning.

The Risk & Insurance and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) office oversees the insurance coverage and claims management across the University.  It also provides oversight for its EHS programs, including driver safety programs, OSHA compliance, laboratory safety, and other environmental management activities.

Procurement Services supports the University community with business-related purchases, facilitating competitive bids and RFPs/RFQs (requests for proposals/quotes), ensuring compliance with Procurement and Bidding Requirements, and administering the Procurement Card.


Office of the EVP

The Office of the Executive Vice President is responsible for directing and managing several operational areas that include but are not limited to: strategic capital and financial planning, facility and real estate management, treasury services, human resource development, and risk management (including compliance and internal audit). The EVP coordinates activities of the operational vice presidents, ensuring efficient management of physical plant and property, finance, treasury, information services, accounting and human resources.
