Staying safe together: Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

At DePaul, the safety and well-being of our faculty, staff and students are at the heart of our mission. Everything we do is driven by a commitment to keeping our people safe, guided by care, concern, and our responsibility to this community.

As part of that commitment and in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, we share the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report each year. This report is one of the ways we stay transparent about campus safety. It provides important information to keep our community informed, aware of resources, and empowered to look out for one another.

A copy of DePaul University’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is now available at this link. The report shares statistics from the past three years on reported crimes that occurred on campus or on public property that is within or immediately adjacent to the university.

Additionally, the report provides key information about DePaul’s safety and security practices, including policies and other safety matters. The 2025 report also includes fire statistics for on-campus student housing facilities. If you would like a printed copy of the report, we are happy to provide one—please email CSAcompliance@depaul.edu to request it.

As one might expect at a university in a major urban area, incidents do arise. As you review the report, you will find DePaul's campus is a safe place for our community to learn, work and live. For helpful reminders, we encourage you to review DePaul’s safety tips. To report a crime, contact Public Safety at 773-325-7777 (Lincoln Park) or 312-362-8400 (Loop).

Thank you for taking the time to review this report. By staying informed, we can all work together to keep our community safe.

Sincerely,

Bob Wachowski
Director, Public Safety
