Dear Faculty and Staff,
Even as our university community continues to face its share of challenges, I’m reminded daily of the strength, pride and unity that define DePaul. Athletics has always been one of the ways we come together — to celebrate, to support one another and to feel connected to something bigger than ourselves. Our department is committed to being a source of energy and belonging for our entire campus, now more than ever.
To that end, the Athletics Department leadership team has been meeting biweekly to explore new ways we can better serve you — our faculty and staff — and strengthen that sense of connection across campus. Those conversations have already sparked several exciting initiatives you’ll begin to see this winter, all centered on celebrating and engaging our DePaul community.
On the court, I’m also proud to share that our men’s basketball program is off to a strong start, opening 2–0 after exhibition wins over Loyola and Notre Dame. The atmosphere at the Loyola game was electric, with one of the largest DePaul student crowds in five years. The energy and pride from our campus community were truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to build on that momentum together.
