Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
The Digital Transformation project is making steady progress, and we have the following updates to share with you:
Public-facing Website
The web team hosted five workshops focused on the websites for the colleges and schools.
- Participants identified their college’s unique features, as well as items for the site’s navigation menu.
- This information is playing a key role in guiding the ongoing development of the sites for each college and school.
Development of the program finder for prospective students is underway.
- This tool will allow prospective students to find, compare and view details for our academic programs.
Work has also started on drafting web content and building the overall structure for the website. Design is also underway to build a modern, AI-supported global search functionality on DePaul’s website to enhance user experience.
Internal Portal
Faculty, staff and students will have a tailored internal portal page that will provide easy access to university resources and tools. The student experience, for example, will feature a course schedule, academic advisors, and alerts to register for classes, as well as other important reminders.
- The internal portal team made considerable progress on the student and faculty landing pages.
- We conducted user testing among students for the internal portal and incorporated their recommendations.
- The student landing page design is now close to complete.
- Design work for the faculty and staff internal portal experience is underway.
We also launched our
Change Champion network, a group of DePaul faculty and staff who help share updates, explain why the project matters and answer questions in their units. As champions they will play a key role in making the transition to a new website and internal portal smooth and successful. Interested in being a champion?

Data Lake
- The data lake component of the digital transformation project has been paused to shift Information Services resources to the internal portal and public website.
- IS and Enrollment Management have been working to implement Salesforce Data Cloud which will support retention initiatives. These efforts have reduced the need to deliver a data lake immediately.
The website and internal portal are scheduled to go live this summer.
- Training for website owners across campus will begin closer to the launch.
- This first phase of launching a new public website will focus on the prospective student journey, primarily content related to why choose DePaul and academic offerings.
- Future launches will include administrative offices and other university resources.
Thank you for your ongoing collaboration as we continue to make progress on creating a new digital experience for our entire DePaul community. If you have any questions, please contact us at
