Heads up: NASCAR Street Race will affect Loop traffic starting June 19

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

Please be aware that with the NASCAR Chicago Street Race on July 5-6, expect heavy traffic and large crowds near the Loop Campus, with road closures beginning June 19. See the detailed street shutdown and open dates below.

What to Do:

  • Use public transportation – and allow extra time.
  • Consider holding meetings outside the Loop or working from the Lincoln Park Campus during peak days.
  • If possible, avoid driving due to road closures and limited parking.
