DePaul announces new dining partner

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

We are excited to share that DePaul has selected Aramark Collegiate Hospitality as the university’s next official dining services provider. Launching as Blue Demon Hospitality in December, this bold, student-centered dining experience will reflect our values and elevate everyday life on campus. Aramark will also become our exclusive catering provider, continuing impeccable service and excellence at events and meetings.

This partnership will be about more than food—we hope it will foster belonging, support wellness, and create spaces where every student feels cared for. Many exciting changes are planned, and these will be rolled out gradually over time. Here is a taste of what’s to come:

  • Eat to Excel: A performance nutrition program, offering expert guidance, menu labeling, and access to dietitian support.
  • Innovation & Technology: Grubhub Ultimate will streamline mobile ordering. Our new Outpost program — set to launch in 2026-2027 — will deliver full meals to secure food lockers across campus. No kitchen required!
  • Inclusive Dining for All: From robust Kosher and Halal options to allergen-friendly stations and plant-forward “Coolfoods,” Blue Demon Hospitality is committed to meeting diverse dietary needs and supporting food access through pantry partnerships and meal swipe drives.

We are grateful to Chartwells, the university’s current dining provider, for their service and commitment over the years. As excellent partners, they have also promised to ensure continued high-quality food and service and a smooth transition. You can expect:

  • No changes to meal plan pricing this academic year: Students do not need to take any action, as there will be no changes to current meal plan prices for this academic year.
  • A warm introduction to Aramark for current Chartwells employees: Aramark will host several Townhall sessions to get to know current employees, introduce Aramark, and walk through the hiring process.
  • Catering excellence: Blue Demon Hospitality will be the exclusive catering provider on campus, bringing a high caliber of service and a wide variety of options for on-campus meetings and events. Later this academic year, they will hold tastings and listening sessions to help shape the offerings at DePaul.

We will share more detailed information about catering and additional details for meal plan holders soon. An FAQ is available online with answers to some common questions. For other questions, please email dining@depaul.edu.

We’re excited to work with Aramark to continue building a dining experience that reflects the spirit of DePaul—one that’s inclusive, innovative, and deeply connected to our community.

Sincerely,

Kimberlie Goldsberry
