Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
Thank you to those of you who have participated in the interview of our first candidate for the provost position. We are currently welcoming our second candidate to campus and look forward to meeting our third candidate later this week.
The search firm has informed us that unfortunately, the fourth candidate has accepted a position at another institution and is therefore withdrawing from our search. This candidate was scheduled to visit campus on February 23 and 24, so the holds on your calendars for those dates will be released.
We recognize that executive level university searches are highly competitive, particularly in today’s higher education landscape. It is not uncommon for candidates to participate in multiple searches at the same time and ultimately accept an opportunity at another institution.
If you have not already signed up, registration for the remaining forums is hyperlinked below and location details and registration will be shared in advance.
Loop Campus Open Forums
3 – 4:30 p.m.
Lincoln Park Campus Open Forums

We encourage you to attend and share your perspective as we reach this critical stage in the search. Candidate materials will be shared two business days before each visit. The search committee will compile these perspectives into a confidential report for the president detailing the identified strengths and potential areas for development for each finalist.
