A Beacon of Light in Darkness with Sr. Helen Prejan and Governor Pat QuinnThis year marks the 15th anniversary of Illinois abolishing the death penalty. In celebration of this milestone with world-renowned anti-death penalty activist Sr. Helen Prejean, CSJ, we honor former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn for his leadership.

Together, we will lift up the personal journeys of those who have come to consciousness about the moral wrongness of the death penalty and have acted to abolish it. Please join us for an afternoon of personal stories, music, and reflection.
Lunch, Listen and LearnsThese sessions offer a supportive and intergenerational opportunity to share perspectives and listen to others. Trained facilitators will guide small group discussions over lunch. Space is limited.
- Wednesday, April 15, 11:20 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.: This session will focus on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. RSVP on DeHub.
