Spring dialogues and fall training

Spring is a time of renewed energy and dialogue at DePaul. Whether you need a moment to reflect, crave a meaningful conversation, or simply want to listen and learn, we warmly invite you to attend an upcoming Dialogue Collaborative event. All members of the DePaul community are welcome — please attend and invite students and colleagues to join.

A Beacon of Light in Darkness with Sr. Helen Prejan and Governor Pat Quinn

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Illinois abolishing the death penalty. In celebration of this milestone with world-renowned anti-death penalty activist Sr. Helen Prejean, CSJ, we honor former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn for his leadership.

Join us Thursday, April 24, 2 – 3:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Park Student Center, 120. Register on Eventbrite.

Together, we will lift up the personal journeys of those who have come to consciousness about the moral wrongness of the death penalty and have acted to abolish it. Please join us for an afternoon of personal stories, music, and reflection.

Lunch, Listen and Learns

These sessions offer a supportive and intergenerational opportunity to share perspectives and listen to others. Trained facilitators will guide small group discussions over lunch. Space is limited.

• Wednesday, April 15, 11:20 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.: This session will focus on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. RSVP on DeHub.
• Thursday, May 21,11:20 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.: This session is open to discussion on any issue that is causing stress and may be difficult to discuss. RSVP on DeHub.
  

Fall 2026 workshops

Finally, applications for our Fall 2026 Dialogue in Action workshop are open. Join dozens of your colleagues who are developing skills in facilitating dialogues. Find more information on the application process and workshop details on the website.
