You are invited to participate in DePaul University’s inaugural Student Success Summit on December 3, 2024 from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. The Summit will be held in-person at the Lincoln Park Student Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Ave., Chicago, IL.
At the Summit, faculty, staff, and administrators from across the University will gather to share best practices, draw inspiration from colleagues, and engage in forward-thinking dialogue.
Learning objectives for the Summit include:
- Define student success at DePaul
- Begin to determine how we measure student success at DePaul
- Begin to foster a coordinated student success culture
- Create awareness of technology, systems, and data relevant to student success
- Create awareness of student success best practices in place across colleges and divisions
- Chart a roadmap for enhancing student success and reducing the achievement gap for underrepresented students
Dr. Monica Hall-Porter, Associate Professor of Biology and Director of Texas Interdisciplinary Plan Scholars Program at University of Texas-Austin, and student success expert will present a keynote address. It will be focused on leveraging intercollege collective efforts to make meaningful contributions to student success and honoring and valuing multiple perspectives. President Rob Manuel and Provost Salma Ghanem will speak about the critical role of student success at DePaul and why we must work collaboratively to reach our goal of eliminating the achievement gap within ten years.
