The signature circular red carpet is coming back to DePaul for its sixth year. The university will host TEDxDePaulUniversity on Wednesday, May 4 at the School of Music's Holtschneider Performance Center. Tickets will go on sale in March through Eventbrite.
This year's theme, “Metamorphosis," seeks to inspire speakers and audiences to reflect on the process of transformation from one actuality to another. Whether it's a personal internal change or the evolution of an entire community, “Metamorphosis" captures humanity's commitment to progressive improvement.
The 2022 TEDxDePaulUniversity's speakers are:
- Isaiah Boozer, an undergraduate student in The Theatre School
- Joseph Chen, a licensed clinical psychologist and associate professor in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies
- Liam Heneghan, a professor and former chair in the College of Science and Health
- Desirie McKay, a licensed clinical social worker and field education coordinator in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
- Carlos Roques, an undergraduate student in the College of Computing and Digital Media
The 2022 speakers were chosen from an outstanding and diverse applicant pool. They are students, artists, community leaders, scientists, and champions for mental health and human kindness. Attendees can expect to walk away with inspiration, as well as new perspectives and ideas.
