As DePaul moves forward in an ambitious pursuit to eliminate the achievement gap among our student populations, gleaning insights from data is a key part of the journey. Our colleagues in Institutional Research and Market Analytics (IRMA) have built an online Retention Resource Room that offers the DePaul community a resource to explore various reports and data presentations on this topic.
IRMA curates a series called Institutional Research (IR) Abstracts, and several past and upcoming briefs highlight insights and outcomes around retention at DePaul. A recent IR Abstract looks at freshman retention and graduation rates by mission characteristics, which include students who are first-generation, Pell-eligible, underrepresented students of color, or from Chicago.
Later this month, we look forward to sharing a data dashboard that will allow you to look at retention and other dimensions of our student population in various ways. In the meantime, we invite you to review the brief, explore the room, and follow our progress on the Designing DePaul website.
