On Feb. 21, the Hon. Consul General of Honduras, Karol Escalante; the Hon. Consul General of Guatemala, Nelson Olivero; the Hon. Consul General of El Salvador, Patricia Maza-Pittsford; and the Hon. Consul General of Mexico, Carlos Jiménez Macías, visited DePaul to meet with President A. Gabriel Esteban, Ph.D.
At the meeting, the group emphasized internationalization and the importance of diversity in higher education. In the coming years, the Consuls General hope to bring even more internationalization and cultural elements to DePaul's campus, allowing students to be exposed to a variety of different cultures, especially students who are unable to take advantage of study abroad opportunities.
