In December, DePaul hosted the Illinois Board of Higher Education's winter meeting in the Student Center on the Lincoln Park Campus. Members of the IBHE are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate.
During the meeting A. Gabriel Esteban, Ph.D., president of DePaul, addressed the board, discussing some of the university's strategic objectives. Later attendees took time to plan and coordinate the many issues facing higher education in the state of Illinois.
