Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast 2019

Jan. 24, 2019

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, members of the university community gather for the 22nd annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast on DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus. The annual event is part of the President's Signature Series and brings together members of the entire university community to celebrate the life and living legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. as an activist for social justice within the African-American community.

This year a panel of DePaul faculty, including Michael Bennett, Valerie Johnson and Julie Lawton, discussed their past, current and future perspectives on civil rights. From musical performances by DePaul community members to a presentation made by students from The Theatre School, this year's event produced a number of works honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
