Wes Moore Keynote Address

On Thursday, March 14, combat veteran and best-selling author Wes Moore delivered the keynote address at DePaul’s inaugural President’s Lecture Series. 

During his address, Moore stressed the importance of understanding the collective role we all play in the success of our institution and our community.

Moore is a social entrepreneur and CEO of Robin Hood​, one of the largest anti-poverty organizations in the United States. Originally from Baltimore and the Bronx, Moore graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Valley Forge Military College, and later Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University. He then earned an MLitt in International Relations from Oxford University before serving as a captain and paratrooper with the United States Army, including combat deployment to Afghanistan. Following his military service, Moore served as a White House Fellow to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
