I have been coping well, though some days can be a little taxing, but I try and keep myself busy.
My job has not changed much, other than not interacting with the students, faculty and staff. We are still doing pretty much what we've always done such as patrolling our buildings and campus.
This time in our history is a little nerve-racking. I have my wife and little ones, along with my elderly dad at home, so staying safe and healthy is important to me. I don't want to bring anything home to them.
I miss interacting with our students, faculty and staff. I look forward to seeing everyone return, although I'm sure there will be new guidelines that we'll all have to follow.
I have never been prouder to be an employee at DePaul. I have seen the best in my coworkers and people outside of our department who have been so good to us during this difficult time, by donating PPE and sending meals to us. That has really meant a lot to all us.
