Blue Demon Welcome, DePaul's annual New Student Convocation that celebrates the beginning of the academic journey for all new undergrads, including freshman and transfer students was held on Tuesday, September 5, on the Lincoln Park Campus. Returning students, faculty, and staff joined in the celebration to welcome in the newest Blue Demons.
As part of the celebration, first year and new transfer students processed in the New Student Cavalcade from McGrath-Phillips Arena to the Quad. Along the way, the DePaul community lined the path to celebrate the expansion of our campus community. Once at the Quad, the annual academic welcome was delivered by university leadership, including President Robert Manuel, Provost Salma Ghanem, the Student Government Association President, and others.
