Want to be a student speaker at commencement?

In just a few months, thousands of students will cross the commencement stage at Wintrust Arena to become DePaul alumni. But only one graduating student at each June commencement ceremony will step up to the microphone. Applications for this once-in-a-lifetime role are due at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 31.

DePaul to offer several Ash Wednesday services

Ash Wednesday, which falls this year on Feb. 22, begins the season of Lent, observed by some Christians as a time for prayer, fasting, introspection and an examination of conscience. On Wednesday, everyone is welcome to receive ashes or a blessing at the Lincoln Park Student Center Atrium, and DePaul will hold Masses and ecumenical services on both campuses.

Scene At DePaul
At Miracles til Midnight, bright eyes and full hearts
Last Friday, DemonTHON hosted Miracles til Midnight, its annual 24-hour dance marathon, to benefit the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Through the help of the DePaul community, the event raised $11,354 at the Lincoln Park Student Center, far surpassing DemonTHON's goal.
