Cindy Summers, influential member of Student Affairs, dies at 64

After 32 years as a DePaul staff member in Student Affairs, Cynthia M. Summers left an indelible mark on many of the faculty, staff and students she worked with during that time. A former associate vice president and interim vice president for Student Affairs who retired in 2014, Summers passed away on Sept. 7 after an extended illness. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 28, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 10 a.m.

University launches new wifi improvement project

Starting next week, DePaul will kick off a project, named ‘Light Up DePaul’ to greatly expand the university's wireless network. The goal is to dramatically improve the WiFi experience in all areas of the university, including classrooms, labs, and public areas, as well as faculty and administrative offices.
