Maricruz Menchero, a 2020 MFA graduate, talks about the experience, the radio show's unexpected benefits and how her coursework introduced her to new skillsets for life after graduation.

Submission window open for Cunningham Commission for Youth Theatre

The Theatre School is now accepting submissions for the Cunningham Commission for Youth Theatre. Faculty, staff and student playwrights, as well as TTS alumni and other Chicagoland playwrights, are eligible to apply. The deadline for submissions is April 1.

Reach for the sky: The Mabel Landry Staton story

Mabel Landry Staton is arguably the greatest athlete to ever attend DePaul. It was unfortunate that during her time in Lincoln Park in the early 1950s, there was no Blue Demon women's track and field program. So Staton trained independently, became a powerful force on the national scene and wound up proudly representing her country at the 1952 summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland.
