Choose your own adventure: Theatre students reimagine play for pandemic

The Theatre School's Stephanie LeBolt had been rehearsing the play "BOXED IN" for two weeks when COVID-19 put Chicago on lockdown. The director soon learned the way forward would take creativity and collaboration. With this approach, LeBolt and her team turned their stage play into a virtual, choose-your-own adventure experience.

Update on fall planning

In June, when DePaul announced our plans for a limited return to campus in the fall, Chicago was reopening and the city's COVID-19 infection rate was decreasing. Since then, the environment has changed. A concerning increase in the rates of COVID-19 locally is leading the university to reevaluate our return to campus planning and to take a second look at the number of courses that will occur on campus.

College of Law receives $1 million gift to establish Kopple Scholars Endowment

The College of Law has announced the Kopple Scholars Endowment, made possible through a $1 million gift from alumnus Robert C. Kopple. Beginning in 2022, the endowment will provide recognition and financial support for two full-time law students who demonstrate outstanding academic credentials.

Sanitization 101: DePaul's on-campus liquid sanitizer

Over the summer, DePaul has worked hard to prepare for the university's phased return to campus. The university has built and installed more than 700 hand sanitizer stations throughout the Loop and Lincoln Park Campuses in hallways, classrooms, office suites, common areas and residence halls.

Follow up regarding Emergency Travel Order

Since DePaul's July 17 message sharing details about the Emergency Travel Order issued by the City of Chicago, several more states have been added to the city's list and some guidance from the Chicago Department of Public Health has changed. If your days have included going from Zoom session to Zoom session, with lectures and socially distanced get-togethers and game nights, there's a chance you have experienced some amount exhaustion from being on call after call. This exhaustion is known as "Zoom Fatigue."
