Jean Lenti Ponsetto to retire from DePaul

​​Following an illustrious 45-year career at DePaul University, Athletic Director Jean Lenti Ponsetto has notified University President A. Gabriel Esteban and the University Board of Trustees of her intention to retire in the coming months. Ponsetto has agreed to stay on in her role and assist the university with the leadership transition to a new athletic director.

Viewing information for June 13 commencement ceremonies

​In preparation for DePaul's June 13 commencement ceremonies, the university has announced launch times for each college's celebration. Each ceremony will feature DePaul President A. Gabriel Esteban, DePaul Provost Salma Ghanem, a student speaker, the dean from each college and school, personalized digital slides of each graduate, and Netflix's "Stranger Things" star and DePaul alumnus, Joe Keery.

​As you undoubtedly know, the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis last week has set off days of protests across the United States. Unfortunately, the justifiable outrage felt by so many at the death of another unarmed black man, has been overshadowed by acts of violence and destruction. Over the weekend, the disorder in Chicago resulted in damage to property in the Loop, including three DePaul buildings.
