DePaul University's Board of Trustees voted on Friday, May 7, to appoint Salma Ghanem as provost, effective immediately. Ghanem, professor and dean for the College of Communication, has served as interim provost since July 2019 and as acting provost since October 2018.
For the first time, DePaul has built a multi-year budget to provide a framework that will ensure current financial decisions are compatible with medium-term financial strategy.

Earlier this quarter, the cybersecurity team took second place in the 2021 National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.
