Vaccine clinic helps DePaul get ready for fall

​To increase access to the COVID-19 vaccine, DePaul held a clinic for students, faculty and staff on the Lincoln Park Campus in late April. About 450 community members received their first doses of the vaccine, some proudly taking selfies to share the news on social media.

Marcy Dinius earns Fulbright U.S. Scholar award

Marcy J. Dinius, an associate professor in the Department of English, has earned a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award. She will use this award in spring 2022 to lecture at Ochanomizu University and Tsuda University, two prestigious women's universities, in Tokyo.

DePaul Art Museum reopening May 14

​With COVID-19 safety precautions in place, DePaul Art Museum will reopen to in-person viewing May 14. A pair of exhibitions, "LatinXAmerican" and "Claudia Peña Salinas: Quetzalli," will be on display through Aug. 15 at the museum, located on DePaul University's Lincoln Park Campus.

Reminder: On-campus COVID-19 safety guidelines

​​While the CDC recently released new outdoor guidelines for vaccinated people, the university still requires non-vaccinated and fully vaccinated people to wear a mask, complete the #CampusClear questionnaire, abide by Chicago's Emergency Travel Order and maintain physical distance to Take Care DePaul.

DePaul alumnus leaves lasting impact

May 7, 2021

​​Michael Holmes, a 2020 graduate, died on April 20 from astrocytoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer that took his life rapidly only a month after diagnosis. The loss has left his DePaul friends and classmates deeply saddened, yet also firmly resolved to ensure the memorable gifts and spirit he radiated and shared so freely will live on to inspire and benefit others.

In memoriam: Eugene L. Bronstein, father of the College of Communication's Carolyn Bronstein

​It is with sadness we have learned of the death of Eugene L. Bronstein, the father of Carolyn Bronstein, a Vincent de Paul Professor of Communication and an associate dean in the College of Communication. Eugene passed away peacefully on April 29 at the age of 96 in Chicago
