DePaul announces new Board of Trustees members

​Three distinguished leaders from the fields of investment advising and the restaurant industry recently joined DePaul University’s Board of Trustees. The board elected Michael Canning, owner of the Glenview House restaurant and group partner of One North Kitchen and Bar; Kevin Keeley, president of Keeley Teton Advisors LLC; and Malik Murray, senior vice president and head of business development at Ariel Investments.

Innovation Day showcases research and collaboration at DePaul

​The annual celebration of innovation at DePaul, focused on bringing a creative spirit to research to find unexpected partnerships and approaches to solve problems, was held Jan. 27 in the Lincoln Park Student Center. Through this year's theme, "Breaking Barriers Through Creative Collaboration," community members came together to present research, discuss perspectives on innovation and make connections across disciplines.

125 Faces: The man who held America to its promise

Benjamin L. Hooks (Law '48) is remembered today as the first African American appointed to the Federal Communications Commission and, for 15 years, the executive director of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. At DePaul, his legacy is his lifelong dedication to the university's Vincentian mission, promoting the inherent human dignity of all people, especially marginalized communities.
